The Story behind the success

Challenge

tl;dv serves over 3 million users through a self-serve motion, but the Customer Success team's attention belongs to the highest-revenue accounts. The problem: there was no company-level view of those accounts at all. Product usage lived in Mixpanel as millions of user-level events with no organization grouping, billing lived in Stripe and ChartMogul, and the CRM in HubSpot. Some customers even used the product under multiple domains.

Without a company health score, the team could not see which top accounts were adopting features and which were quietly going dark. Answering a simple question like "how healthy is this account?" meant manually stitching together user events, billing records, and CRM notes.

Solution

Customerscore.io connected Mixpanel, ChartMogul, and HubSpot and did the heavy lifting the tools could not: aggregating millions of user-level Mixpanel events into company-level customers, matched by organization ID with a domain fallback for multi-domain accounts. The result is 600+ top accounts and 16,000+ contacts scored every day.

Key features:

Health scores built on real feature adoption

The health score tracks the signals that actually matter for a meeting intelligence product: meetings organized, AI reports generated, prompts submitted, and integrations activated. On top of raw counts, the model uses ratio metrics like active users per seat, so a big account can never look "fake healthy" just because a few of its many users are active.

Slack alerts on every trend

When an account's health starts declining, the team gets alerted directly in Slack instead of discovering it weeks later in a renewal call. Declining feature adoption, dropping engagement, and risky trends surface the moment they start.

Health scores pushed where the work happens

Scores do not stay locked in a dashboard. Customerscore.io streams health scores to Customer.io via webhooks, where they drive automated lifecycle emails, and pushes them into HubSpot as properties on onboarding deals, so every team sees customer health inside the tool they already use.

AI scoring, with privacy first

As an AI company, tl;dv audited the security setup thoroughly before adopting the AI churn and expansion scoring. Customerscore.io is ISO 27001 certified, and personal data never reaches the AI: identifying fields are stripped automatically and customers are referenced only by internal IDs.

Impact

For the first time, tl;dv's Customer Success team has a clear read on customer health and feature adoption across every top account, updated daily, with Slack keeping everyone on top of every trend. What used to require manually stitching together three tools is now one look at a score with the reasons behind it.

The results showed quickly: tl;dv moved from a proof of concept to an annual contract within a month, and has since expanded the scope twice, adding more accounts, the ChartMogul billing sync, and the AI scoring on top of the original setup.

Health scores now work for the whole company: they trigger lifecycle emails in Customer.io and appear on HubSpot deals automatically. And the partnership runs both ways: Customerscore.io now offers a tl;dv integration, bringing meeting insights into the same unified customer view.
